ARTeens is an after school program for teens who love making art!
It provides an opportunity for teens to cultivate an art practice
in The Art Garden’s supportive

With an emphasis on personal responsibility and self-direction,
teens explore and critique the world around them, develop their own voices,
and share their ideas.
ARTeens offers a sense of community while nurturing uniqueness and engagement in a diverse and
non-judgmental group.
Teens arrive after-school between 2:30 - 3:45pm. We end at 6pm.
We have three sessions throughout the year.
Participate in one, two, or all three!

No one is ever turned away for lack of funds.

ARTeens was co-developed by Phyllis Labanowski and
Jane Beatrice Wegscheider.
Phyllis and Jane co-facilitated
the program for its first six years.
ARTeens is currently co-facilitated by Jane and Laura Iveson.
ARTeens is supported in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, which receives support from the State of Massachusetts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
